HP Officejet pro 6970
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printing slideshows and whenever the color is blue I get thick (it started thin) pink vertical lines.

Read some topics here about it - no help. Checked the paper type. clean the heads, align, run the fix doctor. Test page results are good so is the aligning printed on normal and draft resolution and still nothing

Please advise

Try to print from a different application and check if that prints fine, like PDF or MS Word.

This might require remote access of your computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Tried that. As soon as I enter the serial number it gets stuck and that's it. Tried several times from different computers. No good.

I give up. Thank you for your effort

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

I have the same problem with my 6970. The blue areas look like blue and pink sardines packed together. This is after changing the cyan cartridge, cleaning the heads twice, and aligning the heads.
