How do Increase scanning speeds on this machine?

Regarding scanning speeds, the simple answer is no.  The printer is calibrated to scan at a certain speed so that it knows how to properly build the digital document.  Increasing the speed of the scan would corrupt your document if the firmware of the printer is not calibrated to handle it.

 

Now, if your scanner is slow because there is a hardware problem of some kind then it may be possible.  We would need more information to suggest anything.  The error you posted is not related to the scanner.
