just replaced the fuser in an HP M3027 MFP and now it is clicking like it is jumping gears? how do i fix this.

Isolate the clicking by placing your ear to the printer and listening.  Replace moving parts in that area until the clicking is resolved.

 

I would start by putting the old fuser back in since that is the most recent change.  See if the clicking appears.  If it goes away then you know the clicking is the new fuser and can request a different one from your parts supplier.

I know the noise is coming from where the fuser drive gears are, this is the second fuser I have tried, I put the old one in and it stops, can the new fusers be to tight? where it drags down the drive?

Yes, your experiment confirms the problem is something with the new fuser.

 

Review the installation area and consider contacting the parts supplier for a new one.  It sounds like there is a defect with your current part.

Gear noise is common on this product as they wear out and installing a replacement fuser results in excess noise. You need this gear kit CB414-67923 to resolve the issue.
