Got My new printer yesterday and unboxed and installed it and spent some time checking it out. I encountered problems so waited until this morning to pursue.
The problem is any attempt at WiFi printing Photos from Android on my Samsung devices results in an error 40 Service Error message and the printer reboots. This includes WiFi Direct, and HP .Printer Services. It works fine on My Windows 10 Laptop. I can print PDF file ok from the Android devices.(including those containg pictures)
I contacted HP Support (Pearl A) who ultimately transfered me to JustAnswers.com. (I found out later she recorded no information about the problem report in HP's files. I worked with a fellow named Nithin that I can't say enough good things about. Ultimately, after 4 1/2 hours of following trouble shooting procedures (including multiple tests, reboots, a Master Reset of the printer, deleting and reinstalling drivers 3 times) we failed to resolve the problem and, referring to the HP Support database document toldme that it appeared to be a hardware issue and HP recommended that I needed to request service.
Anynone able to help?
I contacted Sebastian in HP Support who said he couldn't find any ay record of my earlier contact and would not schedule a service under warranty. So we checked and changed a couple of setings, but the problem persists. He adamantly refused to help me further.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
