Hello.

Some clients updates their Macbooks to the Yosemite Version. I tried to install the CMA Desktop 5.2.6 but an error occurs. It says that CMA-D must be installed on 10.6 version or above... Yosemite is 10.10, the last one for Macs.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Hello Jorge,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The CMAD 5.2.6 release notes => here <= clearly state on page 17 what Operating systems we support:

  • Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
  • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
  • Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Yosemite most likely is simply not supported and your client should have verified this before.

Polycom is announcing the end of life and support for Polycom CMA Desktop.

The software application will move to maintenance-only mode until 01/07/2015 where it will receive bug fixes, and troubleshooting assistance for one year.

After the EOL date, we will continue PGS service and support until 01/07/2017.

All current CMA Desktop customers should begin a migration to RealPresence Desktop for Windows or Mac OS X.

Existing CMA Desktop customers are eligible to migrate to the RealPresence Desktop at no additional cost – simply uninstall CMA Desktop and install RealPresence Desktop.

The active management license (from CMA or RealPresence Resource Manager) used for CMA Desktop for service and support can be used to support RealPresence Desktop.

The RPD for Mac 3.2.1 do not yet list Yosemite as a supported Version but I would suggest to test this and then work with your Polycom reseller for more details on future support.
