Hi, I need to set up a HDX 7000 to receive IP calls. I can make IP calls and have set the device up for ISDN incoming and outgoing but just need a walk through guide for what I need to set on the Router and the HDX7000.
Can anyone help me with this or point me in the direction or instructions on the polycom website please?

page 2-22
Summary:
1. Check Fixed ports
2. open all necessary ports in you firewall. (1720+range from HDX)
3. Forward this ports from external address you NAT to internal address of you HDX (In Netgear)
4. Nat Configuration - Manual
5. Specify External address of you NAT in NAT Configuration Field
6. Uncheck Nat is H.323 Compatible

Hi there 🙂
on the HDX navigate to:
- Admin Settings / Network / IP Network / Firewall
- on this page enable "fixed Ports"
- set NAT configuration to "auto" (your public WAN ip should appear under the field, if not, set the value to manual and enter your WAN IP adress)
- if checked, disable NAT is h.323 compatible
on your netgear:
- on your netgears firewall allow ports TCP 1720, 3230-3235, UDP 3230-3280
- for this ports, configure portforwardings to the internal ip adress of your hdx (How is port forwarding configured on netgear)
If all settings are correct, you should be able to dial to VTCtest.com (71.14.2.157 or 71.14.2.158) for testing.
Edit: Ovg was faster than me 🙂

Thanks to both OVG and Uwe_Ansmann - help was very clear and useful.
Sadly got a slight problem
When dialling on the same network (and Dialling external IP) I can hook up from “Polycom RealPresence Desktop (PRD)” to the HDX 7000 perfectly.
When dialling the HDX External IP from “PRD” on a separate network (tried two different home networks) the HDX 7000 rings but will not answer even when clicking answer – tried on 256Kpbs and Audio only but still won’t answer. Vice Versa when calling “PRD” from HDX 7000 the "PRD" rings but won’t answer.
Not sure if this is HDX 7000 software update required or just my poor firewall configuration. Attached is a copy of the firewall rules.
Any help much appriciated
