Hi team,

I will deploy a Studio bar X70 system and would like to pair a extra Trio C60 for microphone pickup.

i can see technically works from Poly documentaiotn.
https://docs.poly.com/bundle/polypartnermode-ag-current/page/pairing-a-poly-trio.html

and i have 2 questions com up

1. When both X70 & C60 paired up, will all the microphone in each device works together during a VC call? or only 1 side of microphone will dominate the microphone pickup?

2. when X70 & C60 pairing completed, and i disconneted the C60. Do i need to do any pairing again when i reconnect the C60 back?

See anyone can answer my question.
Thank you
Alfred.

Hello @Alfredlaw ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

The Trio Microphones are used. If you disconnect the device and re-connect, as long as the local paired state is not deleted, reconnecting will auto-pair.

Best Regards

hi Steffen,

to extend the question, so when the C60 disconnected, will the Mic pickup auto change back to the X70?

thank you
Alfred

Hi Steffen,
Thank you for the reply, and here more question to come,
when C60 pair up with X70, i assume the audio also comes from C60 internal speaker ,
is that correct?

may i say the result be like below?
scene 1 - C60 pair up with X70,  C60 microphone pickup and built in speaker will be used.
scene 2 - C60 disconnect (not unpair), the microphone and speaker will back using from X70 .

next,
if i using 1x C60 to pair up with X70, can i at the same time adding the C60 Expansion mic for microphone pickup?

Besides, i have another question of using  expansion microphone (p/n 2200-69631-001
Does X70 only allow connect 1 x wired expansion micophone?

Hello0 @Alfredlaw ,

Welcome back to the HP Poly community.

For the C60 you can select in the Web UI the C60 to be the speaker as well or use the TV Speakers / Device itself.

The C60 expansion Microphones can be used as well.

You can only connect 1x wired Microphone to the Studio X50/X52 or X70. The IP Microphones are not officially supported. They do work but support for these can be withdrawn at any moment and this is not a supported scenario.

I would suggest you work with a Poly Reseller in your region for any detailed questions and answers as we are only volunteers here to provide some help but at least not for myself as a technical advisory role.

Best Regards
