Microsoft has posted a Service Health incident TM596672 about this issue. Here's the latest status from them:
Title: We've identified a recent change may have affected the audio volume of Poly X30 and X50 devices
User impact: If action is not taken, users may notice low audio volume of in-room participants using a Poly X30/X50 devices.
Current Status: A recent update intended to reduce call echo and doubletalk scenarios has inadvertently caused reduced audio volume on the affected devices. Poly is in the process of developing a firmware update, but to immediately remediate impact, please follow the above recommendations.

Hi @GManUK
If you take a look at the parameter list:
https://docs.poly.com/bundle/polyvideoos-prg-current/page/before-you-begin.html
If a parameter can't be provisioned you will see the info:
You can’t provision this parameter if the system is in Partner Mode.

A quick question:
The poly support article states "Customers may have low Microphone send level from Studio X30 and X50 devices" - does this imply that not all units are affected, or that not every user will notice it?
If not all units are affected, would running the script on all devices then introduce a new issue, where some devices' mics are now too loud?
Basically, should we be setting Transmation Audio Gain to +18 on every device, or just when a user reports the issue?

Hello @Paul Hargrove
due to the nature of the issue it most likely is not rolled out simultaneously to all rings at the same time I would only do it if reported by a user. Stating this, by now we assume everyone should have received the change.
Best regards
Steffen Baier

Hi Mwurz..
On the few upgrades I have made so far, it is fixed. I also saw it fixed during the Poly OS 4.1 betas.
The Audio level is also reset to "0" during the upgrade to 4.1.
But as with all new version, TEST, TEST and Test. 🙂
