I was looking into purchasing a QDX 6000, but cannot find any documentation as to what is needed on the other end, equipment or software wise.

The QDX 6000 is a standards based SD (supporting 4CIF/4SIF).  As a standards based system it will support communications between other standards based systems.

 

I would recommend reviewing the QDX 6000 release notes on the Polycom support web site here.  At the end of the Polycom group video release notes is a section of interoperability that gives specifics on what our hardware is tested with.  Specific interop issues will also be noted in the release notes.

 

For HD videoconferencing systems please look at the RealPresence Group video systems.
