Fixed! The problem was with the printer. I removed Web Services from the printer then reinstalled the service and registered it with HP. Now I can print from my phone to my printer.

@JWHIII

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you're unable to print using the HP app from your smartphones. However, using the Smart app, your  HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer can scan. Indeed a good observation by you. This confirms that the network connectivity is all good. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • The should be a Samsung print service plugin, you need to disable it on your phones and check if it helps to print.
  • IF the printing is not successful then open the HP app, and then select your printer to see if the app displays any issues with the printer.
  • If a notification or message does not display, go to Printing from Android Smartphones or Tablets or Printing from Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, depending on your mobile device.

  • If a notification or message displays, tap the Message icon  on the app home screen, and then follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the issue.

Please refer to this HP document to know more about using the HP app.

If the problem persists then try to uninstall and reinstall the HP app.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂

I disabled the built in print service and tried printing, no help. I uninstalled HP app and HP print service, reinstalled both and tried printing, no help. HP app says "Unable to comunicate with the printer."  Smart app gives a green light for my printer and shows ink levels, initiates scans, and will print printer settings and diagnostic reports. It will not print documents of pictures.
