while asking about erratic wireless connectivity/printing  issues, was advised

to connect printer directly to router...but seems printer has NO ethernet port?

(not sure this is correct 'board'...feel free to 'transfer' or offer better suggestion)

Printer is Wireless only.

I had two of these printers -- I quickly realized that it is important to check (before you purchase) whether a printer has an Ethernet port.  Lesson well learned.

In fairness, the newer wireless printers are a bit better at staying connected.

thought that'd be the case...way too techno-inept to even KNOW to

connect printerwired'...but it came up several times from 'advisers'

on previous forums, so.... Course learned this AFTER rearranging my

office to get printer closer to router, ugh!  One good thing DID come

out of this learning experience though....just ordered cat 6-cables to

connect router>modem & modem>computer  (unfortunately I also

bought a long one for printer>router.... need a yellow jump rope?)

All good, then.

Put the long cable in a box - at the least, you can use it to test stuff if you need an extra cable.  Extra cables are like extra mice - nice to have around in case you actually need another one.  Smiling.
