I'm using Android Pie, clean install, and the HP Print Service Plugin. It works fine, I can print images, PDFs etc perfectly.....
But when I have plain text, like an email or a TXT file, the "HP Print Service" doesn't show up on the "share" options, for that file type, so I can't print them.
For example, when I open an email, I can print all the attachments, but not the email itself. When I open a text file, or select it in "File Manager" (or equivalent app) I can't print that. Because the Printer Plugin option just isn't appearing for plain text file types.
If the "Share to HP Printer Plugin" appeared, it would probably print, I think. A TXT file is a printable file type, according to the troubleshooting/info page. The "Share to HP Printer Plugin" option appears for PDF and other file types, but not for plain text. I have readc the troubleshooting page but there is no explanation what to do if it appears for some file types but not others. I have tried to clean reinstall and the problem persists.
What can I do? Is there a fix for this?

You didn't read the question / problem, did you, Senan?
How will quoting a bare web FAQ that says what the plugin *should* do, help me, when my question is about the plugin *not* providing a basic print capability?
Please read the question and understand the problem, and maybe ask your next-tier manager or escalate this, before replying again. That was not helpful, and no Kudos.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi,
Have you tried using both the Share, Print, Export or Send options as described under the 'Can I print if my app does not have a print option?' section in the document?
