Changed SSID and WiFi password.
On printer I have restored default settings. No option of Wireless Wizard Setup on control panel.
On my ipad I connected to wifi-HP-setup-3F-etc and loaded Safari. Typed in 192.168.223.1 and got HP Desk jet page. Tried to start the Wireless Setup Wizard from here but at Step 1 it just continues to say Processing and doesn't get any further?
Help required. This should be an easy task I feel but been at this frustrated for hours now.

Hi helpanewbie,
You are very welcome! No worries regarding the questions, that's why I am here! 🙂
Have you tried rebooting the iPad, and Mobile phone? Sometimes, after reconnecting to the network a reboot is required.
Also, this guide, A Network Connected Printer Cannot Access Print Apps, Web Services, or ePrint, might help as well!

I have tried again this morning on my mobile phone (android) using above method and still just sits processing in step 1 of wizard setup. It comes us up with a security warning that site is unsafe before I can continue (i.e run at risk)
network config page shows url for embedded web server is 192.168.223.1 so assume I am in correct place?
firmware revision is SMP1FN1215BR. Not sure if or how to update this from an Ipad?
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi @helpanewbie,
Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand that you cannot connect your HP Deskjet 3055a printer wirelessly. I am happy to help!
Do you have a computer available that we could temporarily connect the printer to, with a USB printer cable? If so, is it running Windows, or Mac? What version? https://www.whatsmyos.com.
In the meantime, please try the steps on page 31, of your printer's user guide, and let me know what happens!

Unfortunately I don't have an available computer via USB. Only options available are Ipad or Mobile phone. Hence why I have been trying the Wireless Wizard option.
My router doesn't have a WPS pushbutton either. It is an older Netgear model.
Not sure where to enter the pin for pin option on page 31? By this I mean not sure how to enter this into the router before it times out?
The printer was set up to my home network fine before the SSID and WiFi Password were changed. I was able to print wireless using eprint from all devices!

Hi helpanewbie,
Thank you for answering my questions!
Okay, let's press the wireless button on the printer, it should bring up the wireless menu. We then want to select Settings, and look for Defaults.
Once this is selected, try a hard reset, by following the instructions in this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. Then, unplug the power to the router, for 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Wait for all the lights to come back on.
After this is done, connect the iPad to wifi-HP-setup-3F-etc and load Safari. Type in 192.168.223.1 and go to the HP Deskjet page. Try to start the Wireless Setup Wizard again, and let me know what happens!

So today I followed you instructions, set default settings, hard reset printer, switched on/router, re-run the Wizard and it still just sits 'Processing' at Step.
I attempted the WPS pin but in my router configuration it only allows me to generate a new WPS and not manually enter the one that the printer is outputting?
Anything further I can try? Really hoping changing one password doesn't result in me needing a new printer...

Hi helpanewbie,
Thank you for your response!
The only other options, are to try to get to a computer that you can connect the printer to temporarily, with the USB printer cable. Within your area, and then you can convert the USB connection to wireless. Or, look for a new printer that has a Wireless Setup Wizard built into it. Connecting your wireless printer.

I think I have managed to connect via the WPS pin method. Managed to locate the advanced settings of router which allowed me to manually enter.
Printer displayed success message and showed correct SSID.
However now my devices, ipad, mobile phone, can't seem to find the printer on network? Do I need to remove and add them again? How do I do this on an Ipad?
Sorry for the all the questions, I really appreciate the help. I'm 90% there just need that final fix to get the eprint working again!!
Regards
