I purchased a working HP 8720 printer on kijiji to replace our existing but 'broken' 8720.
Going to HP Smart I see that my previous 8720 is shown in "My Printers" as I recognize the _________@hpeprint.com .
Selecting "Add Printer" takes me to the page that has me enter "Use your printer claim code".
I enter the first part of the email address that I see for this prelacement 8720 and I guess expectedly (since it is a used printer) I get the message: This printer has already been claimed.
I want to delete/remove my broken printer from "My Printers" so I can use its email address with the replacement 8720.
How do I do these things.
Thanks for your help

Hi,
From HP Smart, please double-click the printer and then click on Advanced Settings.
Click the Web Services tab and then click on Remove Web Services.
Now enable Web Services back, a new information sheet with a valid claim code should be printed in several minutes.

I appreciate the reply. I posted my Q to soon as I did see the same or similar instructions in another post. What I didnt understand is after deleting my "first" printer. I tried right away to use this no deleted email for the replacement printer but it indicated that this email was in use. That doesnt make sense as until I deleted it 30 seconds previously it was mine!

Hi,
May you removed web services for the "broken" printer? this will prevent using the same address, as you were supposed to remove the printer from the HP Smart account itself to allow using the address.
