Cricut Printable Sticker Paper won't work in HP Office Jet Pro 6970

I am unable to print on the cricut printable sticker paper.  The project will print on regular plain paper, but the sticker paper runs throught the machine and sounds like it is printing, but it comes out blank with black streaks on the sticker paper.  Please help!! Cricut told me to contact HP and HP was not helpful. Why is this not printing?
