Error code 0X83C0000A - can not reset HP Envy 4500 all in one printer

@NikoP Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that your printer is giving an error message

I will be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Are you able to make a photocopy?

Please perform the below steps and check for the issue.

Hard Reset:

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed

Please update the firmware.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried turning the printer on, disconnecting the power cord, the waiting time, plugging it back in, ... but nothing works.

Normally the printer moves a little bit when I turn the printer on. It doesn't do that either. It's stuck on the right side and I can't move it whatsoever. I've tried loosening some screws to get under there, but I can't seem to figure out how I can get there. I've tried pulling carefully but it won't move.

The last time it worked was probably a month or two ago. The 0X83C0000A message (ERROR CODE 0X83C0000A NOS_LOADER_APP) has popped up before, but it disappeared when I turned it on and off again. Now it won't go away and the printer doesn't work at all. How can I fix this? How can I get it back moving? I guess because of the cartridges that are stuck on the right it's the reason I can't reset the whole printer.

Thank you for the quick reply!

I'm currently using a HP Envy 4500. Bought it in 2015 I think.

I don't fully understand why this is being replied again. I explained the problem above: the cartridges won't move and the method explained here does not work.

Thanks in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!
