Hello,
Please update the printer's firmware: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ojp8600n911_2011A/OJP8600_N911g-n_2011A.exe.
You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:
- On the front panel of the printer, click once on the location of the home (the home being inactive).
- Click once on the location of the back arrow (the arrow being inactive).
- Double-click on the location of the home (the home being inactive).
- A hidden menu will appear, click Service menu.
- Scroll down to Reset Menu, and validate with OK.
- Scroll down to Semi-Full reset, and validate with OK.
- The printer will shut down, please restart it.
- Please reconfigure the printer.
Don't hesitate to contact me in case of need.
Best regards,

Firmware was up to date. Did the full reset and I still get a login challenge from the embedded web server. What is the default user and pswd? I have tried just about everything. Is there a way to turn this off?
Any info is appreciated.
Thx Randy
Heres a pic of the web server screen from the printer IP address.

The default password is (blank/empty) and the user name is admin in the printer page (EWS).
- There is no default value, if the machine needs a password to access the EWS, it is because someone has already set a password.
If the issue continues, I recommend that you Contact HP HP Support in your country/region.
