@REO93

Hello,

Please update the printer's firmware: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ojp8600n911_2011A/OJP8600_N911g-n_2011A.exe.

You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. On the front panel of the printer, click once on the location of the home (the home being inactive).
  2. Click once on the location of the back arrow (the arrow being inactive).
  3. Double-click on the location of the home (the home being inactive).
  4. A hidden menu will appear, click Service menu.
  5. Scroll down to Reset Menu, and validate with OK.
  6. Scroll down to Semi-Full reset, and validate with OK.
  7. The printer will shut down, please restart it.
  8. Please reconfigure the printer.

Don't hesitate to contact me in case of need.

Best regards,:Wink:

Screenshot 2022-02-02 134223_2.jpgFirmware was up to date.   Did the full reset and  I still get a login challenge from the embedded web server.  What is the default user and pswd?  I have tried just about everything.  Is there a way to turn this off?

Any info is appreciated.

Thx  Randy

Is there a default user and password.  I completed your steps and still get the sign in challenge

@REO93

The default password is (blank/empty) and the user name is admin in the printer page (EWS).

  • There is no default value, if the machine needs a password to access the EWS, it is because someone has already set a password.

If the issue continues, I recommend that you Contact HP HP Support in your country/region.
