DeskJet3700

I’m hoping somebody can help ...

We have been gifted a DeskJet printer this week, which was working fine, but it has suddenly stopped printing. The Web Service light has come on, and the Instant ink logo.
I think the lady who gave us the printer had an ink cartridge subscription, but hasn’t used the printer for about a year.

I can’t seem to find any solution to fix this, so would be very grateful for any advice.
Thank you

Hi @AnneM20

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Are you using Instant ink cartridges in the printer or regular HP ink cartridges?

If the printer is still enrolled in Instant Ink, you need to cancel the subscription. This can be done by the previous owner as account credentials are required.

Once the printer is not enrolled in Instant Ink, you may use regular HP ink cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
