HP DeskJet 2655
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hi! I have an HP Deskjet 2655 All in One printer that I love and am quite bothered that this issue has come up and I have been unable to find a solution. A couple of months back, I was receiving notifications on my phone whenever I tried to print something- and though I can't quite remember what the notifications said specifically, a google search said that it had something to do with my printer's wireless security settings, and that I should change the password.

So. Change the password I did!

But because of that, I can't print anything anymore! -___-
I've been searching for weeks for an answer and trying many things to no avail- and every potential answer I've seen on this forum has been sent in the form of a direct message to the person who asked, so now I'm trying that.

All of that to say.... I am in need of a factory reset for my printer!!

It's been months without being able to use my printer, which is not ideal. Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you in advance!!!

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I understand you need support and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:

Are you printing from a Mac computer or phone?

The wireless light on the printer, is it steady or is it blinking?

Any error when you try to print?

Let me know!

Hello! Thank you so much for your response.
I am printing from my Macbook Pro. The wireless light on the printer is blinking!

You are welcome! A blinking wireless light typically indicates that the printer is no longer connected to your home WiFi. I believe we can use HP Easy start application and auto wireless connect feature to connect the printer to your home wireless network. Let's try these steps:

1.) On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/162/c02131772.gif and the Cancel button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/824/c01623874.gif at the same time for 5 seconds. (This steps will restore default wireless settings on the printer and enable Auto Wireless connect. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.)

2.) Download and run HP Easy start from here.

3.) Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the printer to your home wireless network.

Let me know how it goes!
