I have a
Product Name HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer series
Product Model Number B9S76A
Firmware NPM5CN1830AR
Issue started, I believe that after it updated itself to the what is reported as the latest firmware.
The printer will not connect to HP Print Services to update page count aned requires user input on the display to print anything.
It passes most of the diagnostic tests:
Connected with a wired connection,
Wifi disabled
Wifi Direct disabled
Passes the Gateway test
Passes DNS test
Fails on the Proxy test
Configured is N/A
Confirmed is N/A
Connected is N/A
Authenticaion FAIL
Authentication Status Not Run
I do not use a proxy server on this network and never have. I have attempted to configure one and then disable it but still get the same connection errors. When I print a Network Configuration Page it does not show a proxy configured.
Proxy Settings:
Address- Not specified
Port- Not Specified
Authentication- Off
