Hi There,

I have an HP Office Jet Printer 8710 that I am planning on recycling soon. My question is:

I know that there is a printer email address associated with HP printers. Does the email account associated with the printer cease to exist once the printer is no longer in use?

Thank You

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

No, the address does not cease to exist.

If you have an Instant Ink subscription, be sure you cancel that service.

You can -- and should -- remove the printer (and therefore the email address) from your HP Smart / HP Connected account.

HP Smart / HP Connected Login

Click Flag to switch to your region

After you do that,

Complete a reset on the printer to restore Factory and Network settings.

For example remove any personal profiles (like those used with SMTP scan to email) and remove any Fax profiles.
