HP OfficeJet Pro 6968
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have successfully connected this OfficeJet Pro 6968 for a year to my home network. One day the internet got disconnected and I had to reset, and the printer was disconnected and would not reconnect. My error says "Your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router. MAC address filtering may be anabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup."

I have already checked the MAC filtering and it is not enabled, so that should not be the issue. The printer simply won't connect to the network anymore.

Any help would be appreciated!

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here.

lets follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Restore network settings to default settings

* Press wireless option on the printer.

* Scroll down and select restore network defaults.* Restart the printer.

Once done, follow the steps below:

To use the Push Button configuration(PBC) method :

1. Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds to start WPS push mode. The Wireless light starts blinking.

2. Press the WPS button on your router.

NOTE: The product begins a timer for approximately two minutes while a wireless connection is established.

Keep me posted. 🙂
