HP Smart app on iphone and ipad no longer gives me option to print on letter size paper.  Everything that I want to print gets configurated for legal size paper.    I changed the setting on printer to letter size.  but when I hit done it reverts back to legal.

Printer model is HP OfficeJet Pro 6978.

Try using EWS to update the paper size and type.

Reminder

HP Smart requires that the paper size / type be adjusted before the content is opened.

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes
