I need an HP app to be able to print from my Kindle Fire HD 10. It is an Amazon product. I cannot find an HP app on Amazon's appstore. Is there another place I can find this app? Just to clarify it's not a Windows OS, it's not a Mac OS, it is an Amazon Fire tablet OS.
Also wanted to add: my printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

Hi @tesb329,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To print from your Kindle Fire HD 10 using your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710, you can follow these steps, even though there isn't a dedicated HP app available on the Amazon Appstore:
Use Amazon's Built-in Print Functionality:
- Open the document or image you want to print on your Kindle Fire HD 10.
- Tap the three-dot menu (or the "More" option) usually located at the top right corner.
- Select "Print" from the menu options.
- Choose your printer from the list (your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 should appear if it's connected to the same network as your Kindle Fire).
- Adjust the print settings if needed, then tap "Print".
Set Up Wireless Printing: Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Kindle Fire. This enables your tablet to detect the printer.
Use a Printing App:
- Although the HP Smart app might not be available on the Amazon Appstore, you can still try installing it using an Android APK file. Here’s how:
- Download the APK file for the HP Smart app from a trusted source like APKMirror.
- Enable installation from unknown sources on your Kindle Fire by going to Settings > Security & Privacy > Apps from Unknown Sources, and toggle the switch to allow installations.
- Install the APK by opening the downloaded file and following the on-screen instructions.
- Once installed, open the HP Smart app, and follow the prompts to set up your printer and print documents from your Kindle Fire.
Alternative Printing Solutions:
- Use cloud printing services if supported by your printer, such as Google Cloud Print (though it’s being deprecated) or other cloud-based services your printer might support.
- Email documents to yourself and open them on another device that can print to your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
