Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

How do I change there password for Apple computer for HP Smart?  I can print and scan, no problem, but HP Smart is saying there is an update available and is asking for the password.  I tried my HP password and it doesn't work.  How can I change my HP Smart password?  Thanks so much to anybody that can help!!
