Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I registered my printer to my (now old) e-mail address, (example:  CG123@Windstream.net) which later - the Windstream  e-mail address was deleted when I cancelled Windstream, and now no longer exists.

I need to re-register the printer to my newer gmail account, but need to release it from my old Windstream account.

BUT, HP Connected will not recognize my password from original Windstream account, and I cannot send a 'password reset' to an e-mail address that no longer access.

HP wants to charge me $50. to fix this - (effing vampires).  Can anyone with a soul help? Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to change the email address on your HP connected account. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Sign in to your HP Connected account to change your printer email address.

  1. Go to HP Connected, and then sign in to your account.

The My Printers tab opens and a list of connected printers display.

  2. Find the printer you want to modify access to, and then click Settings.

  3. Under Your Printer's Email, click Change Email.

Figure : Clicking the Change Email button

    Clicking the Change Email button.
  4. Type a new HP ePrint email address in the text box, and then click OK.

    • If the email address that you typed is available, your settings update immediately.

    • If the email address that you typed is not available, try a different address or click one of the suggested addresses, and then click OK.

  5. Inform any allowed senders of the new HP ePrint email address.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.
