I received information from Chimney_83 on how to get my computer and printer together and back on course with color printing. Tuesday night I followed the given instructions and yea, I could print in color. On Wednesday, I did not have the opportunity to spend time checking everything out. This morning I printed a document which had a bar across the top and it was in color. Without changing any settings I within the hour printed another document which should have had a lot of color, but no, it is black and white. Help please!

I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned the issue still persists after trying out the steps.
Uninstall the printer software from root level and install the windows built-in drivers.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
Select OK.
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
Close Devices and Printers.
Refer this article to know more information about installing windows built-in drivers.

Hi Mr. Robot.............thanks so much for your efforts to help me. With you instructions you gave direction to search for and open Programs and Features. When I tried I received a message that there are no programs and features listed on my computer. I can go to Devices and printers okay........but did not know if the other step must be done first. Also when I used my printers IP address and tried to open the printers Embedded Web Server (EWS) it showed that everything was connected and working except the Wi-Fi Direct was OFF. I did not see the message that you mentioned I would see under my address line that explains how to allow pop-up windows. I do have Windows 10 on my computer and my printer has Neat and HP Printable capabilities, but something about that is not connected properly or either I do not understand how to work that. Do you have further instructions for me?

Also I cannot locate any Print Servers Properties window .....I did locate where I could view the server (it did not say print server) and the word apply was at the bottom of the page, but I could not highlight it......

Okay in the Print Server Properties window the apply button will not highlight. Later the computer says my printer is connected and ready to go.......however ehen I try to print from the computer, i'm told that the printer is not activated so what do i do?

Select the country where you are located and type the product# or the serial number of the unit and then choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information. Click on 'Show Options' icon and then scroll down the page and select 'Get Phone Number' to get the phone number.

Mr. Robot.............when I was finally able to apply your directions my printer printed in color from my computer. It has been printing in color ever since. One note is that I have not opened Print Shop 23.1 as each time I opened that program my color printing stopped and I could only print in Black and White. Thank you for your help and support.
