HP Recommended

This is by far the worst printer I've ever owned... I've had it for less than a year and it has never worked properly. I have spent countless hours with HP over the phone, we'll get it to work, and as I don't print often, the next time I need it it's no longer working. It's is the most difficult to set up, and I find the idea of having to install a whole bunch of HP crapware for it to work preposterous. HP made sure it is impossible to install the printer via Windows own tool to add a printer.  Instead it forces its customers to share their wifi password with HP's servers. That alone should be considered a violation of a user's privacy. Would the people at HP feel equally comfortable if they had to share their wifi password with their utilities company in order to have their appliances plugged in? Or with the maker of their smart TV (and not just with the device) in order to watch anything? This printer is the biggest piece of crap I wasted money on. I take responsibility for not doing my homework, but in my defense, when I saw "wireless" printer I could not possibly imagine I'd have my privacy shared with HP.
