My neighbor received a confirmation email from Safelite Auto Glass to his yahoo address and it printed on my HP 7640.
How do I prevent unwanted email from printing on my machine?

Hi,
How do you connect your printer now ?
- Is it on your home network ? If yes then must be a bit worried because your network is open.
- Do you use your printer email address to print ? If yes you can change its email address or only allow people on ths list to print.
Your printer also supports direct printing, but your neighbor must have a code to be able to print. I don't know how he/she could get this code UNLESS he/she could get close to your printer once.
For 2 above, please use the following instructions:
(a) Change printer email address:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02940150
(b) Allow senders:
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c02948998
Regards.

I set up that my husband's email address and my own are the only ones authorized to send to the printer.
It would be terrific if HP would include a list of tips about the basic things that new wireless printer owners will run into in the packaging so we don't have to spend so much time searching for answers on the 'Net & finding forums, etc. - and/or expand the verbiage for the search terms to find answers once we do find the forum (not everyone asks a question in the same way).
# thx!
