Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just replaced my modem/router to a new one (which gives out both 2.4G and 5G networks), and I cannot get the M15W to connect. I have done a factory reset, changed the network SSID, turned off firewalls, nothing will work. The printer is 4 feet from the router, and it won't pick up the 5g network so I'm only trying to connect to the 2.4G. No other devices are connected to the 2.4G.

Any thoughts? I had no trouble setting it up on the old router.

Hello,

You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Press and hold down the Resume/Cancel () button.
  3. Hold the buttons when you turn on the printer.
NOTE: It takes about 60 seconds before the initialization process begins.
  4. Once the printer is ready, please reconfigure it.

Please use the HP LaserJet Pro M15-M17w Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers to install your printer.

I remain at your disposal in case of need.

Best regards,

Thanks for your return,

If you are already using the printer and you wish to change the way it is connected, use Device Setup & Software to change the connection. Connect the new printer to the computer using a USB cable, go to Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection.

  1. Make sure your computer is also connected to the wireless network 2.4 GHz.
  2. Go to Devices and Printer to delete your printer icon.
  3. Make sure the printer is on.
  4. The Wireless light should be flashing.
  5. Proceed immediately to the next step to continue the software installation. You have approximately 20 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP Auto Wireless Connect feature.
  6. Launch the printer software installed on the desktop and click Connect a new printer.
  7. Follow these steps to set up your wireless connection when the HP Automatic Wireless Connection screen appears:
    • Select Yes, send my wireless settings to the printer, and then click Next.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software installation and wireless network setup for the printer.

Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.
