Well....Now I feel foolish!  I had rebooted the router but realized that I had not, in fact, rebooted the modem.  I did that this morning and we are back on line.  Apparently, the modem is both 2.4 and 5GGz capable and needed to be reset to use both.  I have learned a lot and appreciate your help and patience as I worked through this.
