Is there a way to Permanently disable the wireless on the Laserjet pro M102w printer with out having to connect to it?
Pressing the Wireless Button on the control panel turns off the wireless, however the printer is still broadcasting a network SSID. Additionally when the printer is powered off and then powered back on the WIFI will turn back on. Is there a special driver or firmware that can be installed that would disable to wireless?
Thanks

I have searched the forms and the user guide and there does not appear to be an option. I was hoping to find some button sequence or something that would permenantly disable the wireless. The enviroment that the printer is located in cant not have wireless networks.

Sorry to jump in here but maybe this will help. I am not familiar with this unit so I had to read the manual, just like you. Maybe someone else who has this printer may assist.
Looks like most if not all the configuration is done through EWS on your computer (which basically is wireless).
Wireless printers are just that. They are made to not have the wireless disabled permanently. Folks can always reset the printers back to their Factory/Network defaults and the wireless will be turned on again by power cycling or using the front panel. So just using the simple front panel of this printer is not secure to turn off the wireless permanently.
I doubt that there is a single small PCA inside this printer for the wireless, like laptops have. Most likely it is built into the motherboard. Even if you could remove this, the printer self test will most likely fail.
My suggestion is for you to replace this with an Ethernet only printer with no wireless built in (WiFi or Wireless Direct). This is now a secured printer from wireless.
As stated I and not familiar with this unit so someone else can jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong.
