HP Inject 2620
Chrome OS

Hi, I've finally connected my Chromebook to my new HP inject 2620 printer, and printing is working fine from the Chromebook to the printer.

However, I'm trying to register for Instant ink, and when I try to get my code, the printer will only print a page saying that I am not on the wireless network. I've printed my configuration settings and it's saying im disconneced to the wifi.

I've tried to install the app on my mobile to see if that works but no joy. I am getting horrifically frustrated and fed up!

Any help gratefully received!

Greetings and Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps -

Network Restore - Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

If the router has a WPS push button, please try these steps -

1) Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds to start WPS push mode. The Wireless light starts blinking.

2) Press the WPS button on your router.
NOTE: THE MOMENT YOU PRESS THE WIRELESS BUTTON ON YOUR PRINTER, WITHIN 30 SECONDS YOU SHOULD PRESS THE WPS BUTTON ON THE ROUTER.

To print the claim code, refer to "Printers without a touchscreen or text-based display" from this document.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

Hi!

Tried all of that 6 times yesterday before I posted!

The wifi light comes on and stays solid on the printer so it's finding something and it connects to the chromebook. But every time I print the page to get the claim code it says the printer is not connected to the Wi-Fi

iv e tried setting up from my mobile and installed the app...that doesn't change the error message.

the printer prints just fine from the chromebook so data is getting through..it just won't let me connect to get a claim code.
