Greetings, So I'm in EWS. It is working fine, with one exception... Went I go to the Web Services or Settings tabs, the Authentication Required dialog box comes up. I have tried every combination I can come up with, yes I did get locked out a couple times. I do not know what user name and PW it wants! If anyone can help me with this, I sure would appreciate it!

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested steps, uninstalling the printer software using Revo would not help as the password is set on the printer itself and not on the computer settings.
Recommend you restore the network settings to factory defaults to reset the network settings and check. Page number 7 in the user manual. Click here for the user manual of your printer.
1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu.
2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu.
3. Select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.
Let me know if this helped.

Greetings @mistvan59,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are unable to access the EWS page of your printer, is that right?
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Have you set a password in the past?
There is no password set for the EWS page on any printers.
Customers are free to setup a password if required.
However, you can try the username as admin and password as admin and let me know if it works.
If the issue persists, the printer would need to be replaced, please contact our phone support for any service or trade-in options available.
Keep me posted.

I guess I mis-spoke (typed). I am in EWS. When I select the "Web Services" tab or the "Settings" tab, I get an "Authentication Required" dialog box. See image...
I don't beleive I've ever set a password for this. I tried using 'username as admin and password as admin' as you suggested. This doesn't work, it just regenerates the dialog box. Leaving both fields blank, this also does not work.
I do use a static IP address for the printer, but that should have no bearing on this issue.
My only other idea is completely unistall the printer using Revo Unistaller Pro V3. With this tool I can go into the registry and clear all the leftovers after the uninstall. Then reinstall ther printer from scratch, hoping that all the old settings, i.e. Passwords, are gone.
Any thought or other, easier, ideas, please share! 🙂

Well Chimney_83,
I'm done! I followed your instructions and reset the network settings. I had no trouble getting into the "Web Services" tab or the "Settings" tab. Then I closed everything and shut down the computer.
After starting back up, I was unable to access anything. I had a Static IP address set. Once I reset that, everything was fine.
I really appreciate your continued help! You've been great!
Thanks again,
