Hi @SandyPotero,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When you're unable to print from your Amazon Fire HD Tablet to an HP OfficeJet 8130e series printer and receive an error message that the printer blocked the print job, despite being able to print to a prior HP Envy printer and other mobile devices successfully printing to the new HP printer, there could be a few reasons behind this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the problem:
Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer is not set to block new devices. Some printers have security settings that can restrict new devices from connecting or printing. You can usually find these settings in the printer's web interface or on the printer's control panel.
Update Printer Firmware: Outdated printer firmware can lead to compatibility issues with newer devices. Check the HP website for any firmware updates for your OfficeJet 8130e series printer and follow the instructions to update it. Click Here
Update Tablet Software: Make sure your Amazon Fire HD Tablet is running the latest software version. To check for updates, go to Settings > Device Options > System Updates and see if there's an update available.
Reinstall Printer on Tablet: Remove the printer from your tablet's list of printers and then add it again. This can help reset the connection settings and resolve any configuration issues that might be preventing the tablet from printing.
- Go to the printing setting on your tablet (Settings > Connected Devices > Printing).
- Remove the HP OfficeJet printer.
- Add the printer again by tapping on 'Add Printer' or the '+' sign and selecting your printer from the list of available printers.
Check Network Settings: Ensure both your tablet and printer are connected to the same network. If your network has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, make sure they are on the same band.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
