WiFi set up of my HP Envy 4524 was simple and I was able to print from both iMac and iPad.  However after the printer and computer had been switched off the printer is no longer recognisable.  I did manage to reconnect once after many hours of trying, but can't get the connection to work after the printer has been switched off again.  It's not practical to leave the computer and printer switched on the whole time, as we only need to print occasionally, and use iPads the rest of the time.  How do I get the printer reconnected automatically and able to print from both iMac and iPad each time it is switched on?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you try this :

macOS 10 12 Sierra: Adding a printer using IP address

The steps should be similar even though the OS is different.

Let us know of that helps!
