Yes you are correct on the 192.168.86.xx it is no the one downside that you cannot modify this, but it was very easy to setup, and I like the fact it has three access points so I have strong signals throughout!

OK, thought so. I solved our first Google Mesh Network about a week ago. After some quick searching found that subnet.
Customer had his printer on 192.168.1.xx. Had him assign a static IP outside his DHCP of 192.168.86.xx and it fixed his issue.
You can do the same with the Google router too.

I had the exact same problem with my RT-AC3100 and my HP printer. But I did find a solution.
I fixed it by going to the wireless settings and under the professional tab disabling Airtime Fairness for both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Since then my printer shows up fine and has had no problems.
