Product: HP Officejet 4620
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hp Officejet 4620 replied all colors and at first it was printing blank pages after going into tools and cleaning the printheads the test page only prints out the square colors and nothing in black and white.

any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

I understand the printer is not printing in black. 

 

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue either with the black ink cartridge or the printer.

Make sure to perform 3 levels of cleaning for better print quality.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
