Was having connection problems so switched to a static IP address. Computer and printer can communicate, but can't connect to Web Services. How to fix? When I go to the printer EWS address on my browser and select Web Services, it gets stuck on "checking for activation status."
Also, when I go to hpeprint.com, it shows my printer but says it is offline, but that's not true. Could that be caused by using the old claim number? How do I get a new one?

Greetings @tizzy,
Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are able to print over wireless and have assigned a Static ip address to the printer as well. But need assistance in configuring ePrint, is that right?
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Make sure ePrint is enabled on your printer.
Using the printer's front panel, navigate to ePrint (Web services) menu.
Turn off ePrint.
Restart your printer and re-enable ePrint.
This would print a new claim code to configure ePrint on your printer.
Refer to this HP Article for assistance in setting up ePrint.
To manage ePrint accounts, you can refer to this HP Article.
If the issue persists, along with assigning a manual IP Address to the printer, assign a manual DNS as well. (Last step in the procedure mentioned below.)
- Obtain the IP address of the printer (which can found by pressing the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel)
- Enter the IP address on the web browser (Ex: chrome, IE) to enter the printer EWS page.
- Go to the “Network” tab, click on “Wireless (802.11) then click on “Network address (IPV4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual DNS server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Let me know if this helped.
