I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to print from your computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you remove the printer from the computer and then download and install the printer driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

I'm sorry I had not seen your response until today.   I was very excited to be able to try this to fix the problem.     I had not tried to print anything since I sent my question to you.  When I opened up printer/scanner in system preferences to remove the printer per you instructions....I clicked on the printer name (which had an orange dot next to its name) - and the dot changed to green!   Thinking this might be a good sign I tried to print a document.... and it WORKED!!!    I don't understand why but couldn't be happier!!   I will keep the directions you sent for future use in case it happens again.   Thank you!!!
