print anywhere on iOS

Hello,

I am new to the forum, so perhaps my problems has already been discussed.

I have my HP Color Laserjet MFP M281 connect via Ethernet to my Mac.  Printer at home works fine, also when I want to print from e.g. my iPhone.

But, when I am not on the same network, e.g. on another location, then it is impossible to print from my phone. Of course the printer is in standby mode.  Could this be due to that I have Wifi printing 'off'?  Is Ethernet connection to my Mac and Wifi printing possible, or will the printer choose one of both?

Lots of questions... but no printing outdoors 😒
