Hi guys!
After the most recent Windows Update, my sound doesn't work anymore. Can't install drivers for "Intel High Definition Audio" (neither automatically nor manually). Would highly appreciate it, if you could help me out.
Tried installing this: "Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (Windows 10 v1803)"
Receive this error code:

Found a solution. Deinstalled the Realtek drivers and the "Intel High Definition Error" disappeared. However, the sound was way worse. After a restart, I was able to install the aforementioned Realtek drivers again and the sound seems to work for now.

After a restart I am back to zero. And your method doesn't work for me. I can't roll back any drivers. I can only deinstall the Intel devices, then Windows automatically installs them again, or I deactivate them, which doesn't change anything.
How does HP not react in such a situation where so many users are affected?!? Why does the community have to come up with solutions that apparently don't work for everyone.

Agreed. I am having the same exact issue and it started on the same day that you posted. I've spent hours looking through and trying different solutions. When I run my troubleshooter, it says "Intel High Definitio Audio doesn't have a driver" and also "Realtek High Definition Audio has a driver problem" but the troubleshooter is unable to fix each one. I have even tried going to the intel support for drivers and software but their website doesn't read that my driver is missing. I have also tried to use driver easy, but that isn't helping with realtek after i download it and it doesn't recognise that the intel driver is missing. I'm at a loss here. Please let me know if you have found a solution.

I was having the same issue but @RE051ST posted this link to my query. It solved the problem for me.

Thank you for your response, but I actually just found my solution on another post. Using the HP website to uninstall and reinstall my realtek driver worked for me! Heres the link:

Follow directions on the site and its very easy.
