You're right, it gets back to the factory defaults, with the OS you originally had on the PC during the purchase,

 

Please wait until you have any issues if you do, go ahead with the reinstallation for a permanent fix,

Cursor is still missing. The first link error'd out so it didn't get a complete the install. It gave an error that the device is not equipped to do the install. However, continued with the second and third link and they both intalled. Tried SP64608 again and still does not install properly. If you install again it asks to overwrite all the other files.  Any suggestion?

Did you ever get this resolved ?

 

HP support are not helpful and it doesn't seem the company is doing anything to solve this bug.

 

I am minutes away from just chucking my laptop.
