HP ProBook 450 G5 BitLocker locked Notebook User cannot remember Wondows login password

Hi Team,

Am with Boroko Motors Limited IT Department - a car dealership on Papua New Guinea - Port Moresby and  has issue with a one f the manager's laptop as it had a trust relationship with domain issue - we had to revert back notebook PC to workgroup BUT

the Administrator account was not enabled and the local user account password was setup by a ex-employee who has left the

company so the local account password was not shared.

We are trying to recover files on the SSD hard disk BUT is locked by BitLocker - what are the steps to take to get unlock code or is there a way around this. Thanks!

• If the PC was domain connected, the Bitlocker recovery key may be available in the active directory of your organization
