Hello,
I have an HP ProBook 6560b and I am completely locked out of the BIOS because I forgot the administrator password. I need an official way to reset or remove the BIOS password.
What I have already tried:
Removed the CMOS battery for several minutes
Pressed Windows + B to force a BIOS recovery
Checked for any default passwords
Tried booting without the CMOS battery
Unfortunately, none of these methods worked. The BIOS still asks for a password, and I cannot change any settings.
Questions:
1Is there an official HP way to reset or remove the BIOS password?
2 Can HP provide a recovery key or a backdoor password?
3 If not, what are my options?
This is very urgent because I need access to my laptop for work/school. I would really appreciate any help from HP support or experienced users who have dealt with this issue before.
