Hello All,.
I have been trying to install windows 10 from USB nor DVD on this MicroTower PRoDesk 400 G4, but always get cannot find the desk, i update the bios, i got option to enable secure boot whenever i choose it, it won't work and give me error messages in bios, and the option go back to enable legacy and disable secure boot, i installed winows 8.1 so easy, but this PC doesn't support drivers for windows 8.1, when i try to install windows 7 i got mouse and keyboard stuck, i know why because the driver issue in HP, so anyway, i want to Install windows 10, on all New HP Proudcuts , because i tried before on HP 250 G5 laptop, got the same iusse and i even updated the bios and couldn't switch the secure boot on to install windows 10, i think it's soo pain in head to deal with all thsoe options, make it easy or make a explain for why we can not install windows 10 easy.... Anyone meet this issue with ProDesk 400 G4

Hi,
You need to disable secure boot and enable legacy boot. The DVD you created is it bootale? Did you use program such as Rufus to create bootable DVD from Iso?
In boot order in the Bios you should see two entries for the pendrive. One is Uefi and one regular. You need to set it first in boot order.
In Bios there might also be a voice where you need to enable boot from USB,
Let me know,
David

Hi,
When installing windows 10 or other OS you need to have secure boot disabled. Once installed the OS will enable again. Do yiu see the hard drive in Bios. Is the hard drive present in boot order. Is the hard drive new or old? Try reconnecting the sata cables to hard drive and motherboard. The problem seems to be with the hard drive and not with the Os.
Let me know,
David

Dear David,
there is nothing wrong with the HDD, i just installed windows 8.1 and i can go to windows easy, but the problem with windows 10, it require something abnormal in the new PCs, seriously it's headache to keep up with this all options and setttings, you seems didn't get me, please listen, first i install windows 8.1 ok with the same settings, so this means i can install windows 10 with the same settings, the windows 10 i downloaded from Micrososft and installed it on many PCs, from Flash USB or DVD, so the new pcs come with weird settings, you must enable secure boot to install windows 10, plus i makde the Flash USB bootable for UEFI and Legacy and tried both nothing work, i enable secrure boot and nothing work, i disable secure boot and enable legacy nothing work, i disbale both and nothing work, from USB and DVD, so what's your Suggestion, ?? what do you think ?? The HDD working Sharp...

Hi,
Can you remove the hard drive and use diskpart on a different computer to clean disk and then try to install the OS. You might need to initialize the disk again.
