My 16GB hp pendirve v220w is write protected. I am not able to write/delete/format with my pendrive. Please help me to get relief from this read-only status of my pendrive using ubuntu 14.04 platform.

Hello,
Please follow the instructions below to remove write protection.
Open a command prompt
type DISKPART press <enter>
type LIST VOLUME press <enter>
type SELECT VOLUME X, where X is the volume number you want to remove the write protect from. In my case is was Volume 6
type ATTRIBTES DISK CLEAR READONLY press <enter>
you will see a prompt that the write protect has been removed
type EXIT press <enter>

I have a hp 16gb usb pen drive it is write protected, I have used CMD, REGEDIT and (PNY II) These action are not applying on my UBS Drive, In Regedit option there is not appearing my sotrege option, and Pny II iT Shows failed to recove then how can I remove write protection from my UBS drive, Kindly GIVE US solution.

Download the USB Flash Driver Format Tool Ufix-V from this Link: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/6202-usb-flash-driver-format-tool.html. and extract the file and run it to format your Pen drive
Please Note this is a 3rd party website and App
If the issue persists, please contact HP Support for a replacement Pendrive
