HP envy 13t
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to connect my HP Pen 1MR94AA#ABL to my HP Envy 13 touch laptop with no luck. After verifying compatibility between the two devices directly with HP, I purchased the pen to work on my laptop. I downloaded the pen app from Microsoft and the app indicated that the laptop IS NOT compatible with the device. I have tried connecting through Bluetooth ut the instructions for pairing seem to apply with a different pen that "lights up" when connected through Bluetooth. This pen does not have any lights or buttons that light up at all.  I cannot find any real compatibility or troubleshooting information online to conclude whether or not the pen will work with my laptop. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

OK - Checked.

Sad news -

I cannot find any evidence that this model supports an HP pen / stylus.

What about a "passive pen"?

What Is a Capacitive Stylus and How Do They Work?

Passive pens are NOT the same as an active pen / active stylus.

A Passive pen can open menus and perform basic functions.

Thanks for confirming the compatibility of the pen with my laptop. Do you have a recommendation for a compatible passive pen?

@MilsY

You are welcome.

Passive pens work with most any touch screen.

Most have a "fat" type to mimic your fingertip.

There is not much difference, I think, though that is only an opinion based on reading about the product.

Find one that you "like" - pen color, style (what it looks like), tip width.
