Dear all,
My laptop, HP ENVY Notebook - 13-d003na (ENERGY STAR), has been making constant fan noise. Upon looking for solutions, I came to know that I need to update the BIOS. My current BIOS is Insyde F.34 18/02/2016. I tried to download the latest F.49 Rev.A from the HP website but when I run this, it does not upgrade the BIOS though the installer says that it ahs applied the update. I tried the other method of manually updating via USB stick but that does not work either. I realise the system board ID of my machine is 80DF which is not addressed in the latest F.49 driver. I am wondering could someone tell how to I update the BIOS?
Many thanks
Solar

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
Did you try to perform a power reset and then try updating the bios?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
Follow this link https://hp.care/2FDuuWg and perform a hard reset first. Once done,
follow this link https://hp.care/2JGqvdz and update the bios. 🙂
Let me know how that pans out.
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help. 😉
